Project: Liffy

At my current company, TMC, where I work as a consultant, I had the opportunity to participate in a project to create a start-up business.

This is an international project where I collaborate with my colleagues in Belgium to develop an application aimed at promoting sustainable living, volunteer work, and connections between individuals with similar interests.

My role: Lead UX Designer

In this project, the goal is to create an application that allows users to easily find volunteering opportunities in their area. Based on the work they do, users will earn tokens (leaves), which will accumulate in their account. They can then use these leaves to get discounts at stores or restaurants focused on sustainable living.

Users will also be able to connect with each other, exchange ideas, attend events, and create their own events. For example, they could organize their own volunteering event or set up a donation station, among other initiatives.

I designed this app from the ground up. As the sole UX designer on the project, I was responsible for creating every element and went through numerous iterations and changes as we collected data, conducted research, and tested our ideas.

This application is still under development, with the aim of having a fully functioning version on the market by summer 2025.

We are working on this app outside of our regular working hours and have been dedicated to this project for over a year now.

Project: OpenMenu!

This was a project as part of my course from Google where i had to create an idea from scratch an design it myself.

Mockup

Here is an example of how I like to quickly put ideas on screen to create a kind of 'blueprint' for designing the app. Creating mockups helps me save time and share ideas efficiently. This way, I can develop a better prototype later when it's time to add design elements.

Did you know that rapid prototyping can increase the chances of successful app design by up to 50% by allowing early testing and iteration?

High fidelity prototype

Here is an example of how my high-fidelity prototype might look, based on the mockups I created earlier. Since I’ve already tested my ideas in the mockup stage, I can design the high-fidelity prototype with greater confidence.

Did you know that High-fidelity prototypes are often used to simulate the actual user experience of a product, allowing stakeholders to interact with the design before it's built. This helps uncover usability issues early on, saving time and money during development by ensuring the final product meets user expectations.

Project: Orbis

This is another project from my Google course where i designed a branch of a webshop for bikes.

This project was small in scope as you can see, but still worthy of being presented!
